“It’s been 40 years since leaving school on the last Friday in May and starting out on my journey into the construction industry the following Tuesday. I secured a City & Guilds apprenticeship with a Bedford shop fitting company.

Whilst with them I gained a wide and varied knowledge of carpentry and joinery as well as working around the country. After serving my time I worked for several local building and window fitting companies before settling for some years to work for a commercial bespoke furniture company. Here I advanced my joinery skills as well as well as fitting commissioned pieces on site.

Wanting a fresh challenge, I then moved on to a vintage aircraft restoration company where I honed my skills further still. Although a very satisfying and enjoyable experience as it was I wanted then to work for myself. This I did, and in 2005 PMG Carpentry & Joinery came to be.

In 2021 I took the decision to concentrate solely on the manufacture and construction of Garden Rooms and thus PMG Garden rooms was launched.
